The tablet itself is very chalky. The 'C' means that it is easily identifiable.
Photo next to a 1p piece for size comparison, as you can see its not very big.
I was suffering with a terrible cold last week and thought it would be the perfect time to try this out.
To use it you pop the tablet in a bowl and add water, not boiling water but warm water. You pop your head over the bowl straight away and cover your head with a towel, just as you would when steaming your face. The tablet starts fizzing instantly and the orange aroma instantly hits you.
It cleared my sinuses instantly and left me feeling very refreshed. My skin felt amazing to touch afterwards. It was very similar to a steam room, but with the added benefits from the Vitamin C. This tablet is very good for wrinkles.
You can store the water for up to a week and use this as you would a normal toner, I didn't do this as I was full up with a cold and didn't like the thought of rubbing the water into my face after breathing my germs into it - gross.
LUSH don't actually sell the Vitamin C tablet any more, I checked with Lucy who confirmed they no longer do it, Lucy knows everything there is to know about LUSH. They do however stock various other toner tablets in the form of Tea Tree, Vitamin E and Token to the Forest Gods. I cannot wait to try these out.
Next time I visit LUSH in Cardiff I will be stocking up on a few of these, I think they will be perfect hangover cures!
The tablets can also be bought from the LUSH website and start at 80p.
Massive thanks to Lucy for introducing me to these gems!
Have you tried toner tabs? What are your thoughts on them?
