Week in Photos #54

Meet my new nephew - Oliver, aka, Olly :) My sister wasn't due until 03 April but he decided to make an early appearance on 14 March. She was in work on the Tuesday then had him on the Wednesday! Both are doing well and he is a little cutie :)

Peppers were buy one get one free in Tesco so I've been trying to think of ways to use them up, this was delicious. I fried up some red onions and sliced cherry tomatoes which I then added into a bowl of Uncle Ben's rice. Mixed it all together and popped it in the pepper along with feta cheese then popped in the oven for 20 mins at gas mark 6. So simple but so good!

Another lovely meal, very naughty but it tasted very good! A Fray Bentos pie with mushy pies, Aunt Bessie's mid week roasties & yorkshire puddings :)

Preparing for the big day with my Welsh nails.

I ended up getting quite drunk Friday night. It was my sister's leaving do, so despite her having the baby early and not being there we still went out. I had a gorgeous meal at The Unicorn. I then went into town to meet up with an old friend who was home for the weekend. We had a great night. No photos though :( Saturday I woke up a little hungover, singing and dancing to Word Gets Around helped me get quite excited about the rugby and forget all about the hangover.
I decided to buy a stupid daffodil for my head and have a Welsh dragon on my cheek - the lady very kindly made sure that the dragon covered the mahoosive red spot on my cheek!
We wandered the streets for a while to take in the amazing atmosphere, these French fans were crazy!
We headed over to the Brewery Quarter which was jam packed, they had a live Irish band which really got the atmosphere going. There were mini rugby balls being thrown around and everyone got involved.
I was quite pleased to discover how good our seats were...
and even more pleased when the gorgeous Mike Phillips started warming up in front of us...
and even more pleased when we went and won the GRANDSLAM!!! I am so pleased that I can say I was there, my ticket is possibly the best £72 I have ever spent. The atmosphere were amazing and the crowd really got going singing all the songs, such an amazing day.
I found us on the Swalec fancam, its pretty impressive!

Spencer and I both needed a cup of this this morning :)

My hangover omelette, which looks more like a pizza!

This week has quite possibly been one of the best of my life! What have you been up to? Did you watch the rugby?

  5. What great photos! The rugby ones are incredible! That's a brilliant one of you in the crowd! By the way, where did you get that Daff head-dress from? My godmother was given one for Christmas a couple of years ago and I wore it on top of my head like a floppy hat when she said to try it on (try it. it works really well!) and I really wanted to buy one!

I bought the daff off a guy in the street, there were loads of them around yesterday just for the rugby, other than when Wales are playing rugby I have no idea where to buy them I'm afraid! x
