Review : L'Occitane Pivoine Délicate Lipstick Shade 2

Following the success of Pivoine Flora Eau de Parfum, L’Occitane has created a new limited edition collection Pivoine Délicate. The range is inspired by the Peony flower and includes Eau de Toilette, Lip Shines, Lipsticks, Hand Cream, Eau de Toilette and Gloss duo, Shimmering Powder and a Fresh Mist.

I received the lipstick in shade 2, Pivoine Délicate. This is the prettiest packaged lipstick I have ever seen!

This lipstick enhances lips with a delicate pink veil of colour.

The rich texture, delicately perfumed and enriched with softening Peony extract, gives an instant feeling of comfort and leaves lips feeling light, and smooth.

Beautiful right?

The lipstick has a very slight scent which is certainly not overpowering. Just a really nice, subtle perfume smell.

As you can see from the swatches it goes on very sheer, I would be tempted to describe this as more of a tinted lip balm than a lipstick.

It glides on beautifully and feels really moisturising on the lips.

This lipstick is not what I was expecting due to how sheer it applies, however, as a tinted lip balm I love this. Everything about it screams luxury to me, the packaging, the name right down to the scent.

I think this lipstick would make a great gift.

  4. These look so, so pretty. I'd love to just have it on my dressing table looking pretty. (I don't have a dressing table, so I'd like one of those too, white shabby chic please.) I think it is a teeny bit pricey, but I guess that depends how it feels on the lips - I will happily pay more for make up I really love. :-) x
