Groupon Purchase : Banksy Coasters

I'm sure that you've all heard of Groupon by now. Its basically a discount site where they provide a wide range of different deals every day. You can register to receive daily updates for offers within your local city, getaways and goods.

I've used Groupon several times before, most times were very successful. I've purchased discounted vouchers to spend at asos, Radley and Eyeko, I've taken a short break with them (blog post here), gone on a cupcake decorating course and a photography course through them and even had fish chew at my feet via Groupon (blog post here)! Phew, I have been busy!

I've also purchased a few deals that have gone wrong, such as a voucher for a local jewellery store and a day at a health spa, with these both businesses closed down. I did get my money back from Groupon for these so nothing was lost.

Groupon recently contacted me offering me £30 to spend on their site, after having so many fun experiences with them I bit their hand off, I then sat back patiently and waited for a deal that I liked the look of to land in my inbox.

Then I saw the Banksy coasters deal :) The deal was for 10 Banksy coasters for £10 from Canvas Town, which is a 60% reduction of the usual price. I ordered my voucher on the Wednesday evening and received the email code on the Thursday (they always send them the day after the deal closes). The voucher became valid at 8pm that evening which is when I ordered my coasters, I received them today (Monday). Pretty speedy service.

The coasters all seem to be very good quality and very good value for money at £1 each.

Another thing I will say about Groupon is that they do occasionally repeat deals, so if you like the look of these keep your eyes peeled just in case they come up for that bargain price again!

Do you use discount sites like Groupon?

  1. I love the wee girl one with the heart balloon. I've bought cupcakes and had a cut, colour and conditioning treatment for £25. x
