Review : Famous Cosmetics No Shine Face Powder & First Date Blusher in Scarlett

No Shine Face Powder, The One and Only £4.99*

Banish unsightly shine and create a flawless complexion with this super sheer, mattifying powder.

As expected the packaging of this is gorgeous, I really am loving the packaging of the Famous range. The outer case is reflective and has the now trade mark leopard print design all over the top.

The compact houses a really large mirror which is great for top ups on the go. You get 7.5g of product which is a pretty nifty load for the price.

The powder itself goes on smoothly and not too cakey. It really helps to keep oil at bay, I found the greasiness to hold off on my skin for a good couple of hours while wearing this, and even when it did start to get greasy it never got anywhere near as bad as it usually would. The powder did slip a little throughout the day but it was nothing too noticeable and blended back in easily enough.

First Date Blusher, Scarlett £4.99*

Choose from 4 flirty shades and get natural-looking flushed cheeks with a pretty and radiant finish.

Another gorgeous looking compact from Famous - pink, shiny and leopard print! I'm sold!

Again, the compact houses a lovely large mirror and a whopping 7.5g of product.

The blusher is super pigmented, you really have to use a light hand when applying this as you may end up looking like a clown. I speak from experience. The formula of the blusher is lovely, its a matt blush and is just so soft, almost butter like. Be warned though, when swiping your brush across the palette you do get a lot of loose powder come off so it can be quite messy.

The blusher lasted all day, though it did fade a little around the seven hour mark.

please ignore my eyebrows, I've been growing them to get them shaped all nice like.
Here I am wearing the No Shine Powder and First Date Blusher over Urban Decay's Naked Skin foundation.

Both products can be purchased on-line here and from Superdrug stores.

Famous' own website currently have a sale on where you can get both the powder and the blush for just £2.99 each. I may have just purchased another two of the blushers for myself...

  1. The naked skin foundation looks great on you! Love those powders too :)

    1. Thanks Georgina, I really do like it, was going to buy it but ended up buying the Benefit one instead after having another full face of make-up done by them in Debenhams on Saturday! xx
