Review : September JolieBox

You may recall this post in which I mentioned that I had cancelled my JolieBox subscription. Well I cancelled it after the September payment had been taken which meant that I got to sample one last box.

The September box is themed around London Fashion Week.

JolieBox say : A lip balm containing SPF 15 to moisturise your lips and provide protection from harmful UVA rays.

I say : I've heard so much about these and love the design of them so was super pleased to see this in the box. It smells lovely and feels really nice on the lips. I personally feel that the little keyring cheapens the look of it but I know that others will love this feature.

I Love... Mango Face mask 15ml (full size)

JolieBox say : A moisturising & reviving face mask with yummy fruit extracts for all skin types.

I say : The packaging states that this is suitable for all skin types and you can't really beat a nice fruity smelling face mask so this was a welcome addition to the box. I can't find the face masks on-line so am unable to price this up, I would estimate this sachet to be about £1 to buy.

JolieBox say : This best selling lotion controls hair for naturally straight results, whilst providing heat protection and banishes frizz.

I say : This product sounds great and I would love to try it. The only problem is that I can't seem to open it! The bottle is so flimsy that when I try twisting the cap the bottle just crumples! I will keep trying...

Dr Bragi Bio Marine Exfoliant (sample size unknown)

JolieBox say : A marine based exfoliant to smooth, cleanse, brighten and renew tired skin.
We have been provided with a code for a 20% discount & free P&P.

I say : Thankfully these are listed as an extra in the box, if they were listed as one of our actual paid for products I'd be annoyed. I'm not getting excited about these as I don't think there is enough product to notice results. I will use them though.

Twistband Hair Tie x 2 (full size) approx price in GBP £2.50 for the set

JolieBox say : A twistband to keep your pleats, buns and ponytails secured without leaving bumps in your hair afterwards.

I say : Not really sure what to think of these to be honest, I would expect these to also be listed as an extra and not an actual paid for product, but they aren't. They don't do much for me in the way of ponytails, may just be because my hair is so thick, I find them to slip out within about half an hour. Shame as they are actually quite funky. They make work for those with finer hair.

So, that is it, my last JolieBox for a while. Goodbye for now JB, it has been a pleasure!

  1. Shame that the product that looks the best out of the bunch is the one you can't open! I'm a bit confused by the hair tye things though, I'd never pay 2.50 for two!

    1. haha I know, it is really annoying me! I will force it open somehow!
The hair things are very expensive! x

  2. I would love to see a review on the mask! xo

  3. It doesn't look the most exciting of boxes at all does it, what is with beauty boxes giving hair bands away lately...I'd love to hear how the mask is though!
