Week in Photos #99

Mini egg cakes, yum yum :)
Chicken with sweet potato wedges cooked in olive oil & cinnamon, a little bit delicious!

It was Spencer's 30th birthday on Friday, and spoil him rotten I did! I bought us my favourite Greggs cakes for breakfast and took his up with a candle and a cup of tea. I also made the lovely smarties & Kit Kat cake to go on the buffet that I prepared in the evening. We had a few people around and had a lovely night. I made a few items for the buffet that I had seen on Pinterest, Feta & Watermelon cocktail sticks, sliced tomatoes with mozzarella and sweet chili olive oil and apple, brie & cinnamon baked in puff pastry. These all went down very well!

We finally got around to choosing the Wedding photos for our gorgeous photo frame, it looks lovely.
I've completed 4 pics 1 word :( I'm constantly checking for updates, no luck yet!
My new iPhone case arrived, it is the one I shared in this eBay watch list
Amazing hot chocolate with cream & marshmallows that we had on the pier in Weston Super Mare today.

Back to Spencer's birthday. As a surprise I booked us into the Cadbury Double Tree Hilton just outside of Bristol. I booked a Junior Suite for us which was lovely and came with fluffy white gowns, an amazing view and a not very private shower (you can see right through to the bedroom into the shower!). We took a bottle of champagne and watched the rugby in our room with Spencer's family before heading out to watch Oliver the musical at the Hippodrome.

Oliver was a great musical, I recommend that you go see it is you get the chance. We had a few drinks in the hotel bar before heading to bed. I've discovered a new love for Whiskey, Ginger & Lime.
We went to Weston Super Mare today for a wander, cold but nice. I haven't been for years so it was good to see the new pier.

I mentioned last week that we were having new floors, they're all finished and looking good! Above is the spare bedroom before and after.

I may do a post in more detail about the hotel and the weekend if you are interested?
