I was lucky enough to be invited along to a little shindig at Lush, Cardiff last night. I was also very lucky that for once I had enough annual leave to take the afternoon off work and turn up to the event!
We were greeted with some rather yummy mocktails. I opted for the pink one of course, I couldn't resist its prettiness! It was a rose flavoured drink and tasted absolutely amazing. They serve this drink in the Lush spas where apparently most things are pink. I need to go.
There were plenty of product demonstrations on hands, one of the girls tried the Ro's Argan Body Conditioner on me. WOW. I need to get me some of this. It is a shower gel that moisturisers too, it contains loads of nourishing ingredients including Argan Oil and Rose Oil. It smells amazing and leaves the skin so soft. The smell lingers nicely too, Spencer even commented on it when he picked me up from the train station. I am ridiculously lazy and tend to 'forget' to moisturise after my showers, this product is therefore ideal for me.
Some of the girls got to make their own batch of Angels on Bare Skin, I came downstairs right at the end of this so missed out on most of the demonstration but I did catch the last bit which was very interesting.
The staff were great at showing us how to use all of the different products, right down to applying Emotional Brilliance in Stef's hair. I didn't realise that this could be used in your hair and got quite excited by that discovery, making a mental list of the colours that I think will look good in my ombre. The great thing is that they wash out so I wouldn't have to worry about the day job.
I was given a full size tub of Angels on Bare Skin and also a sample of Ultrabland to take home. I used the Ultrabland to remove my make-up last night. So far I am really impressed, review coming soon.
Thank you Lush for putting on such a great event. Before last night I hadn't really bothered with Lush, I'd always thought they mainly sold bath products and I'm a shower kinda girl so had pretty much written them off. Last night opened my eyes to so much wonderfulness I now have a HUGE wishlist! It was also lovely to catch up with some of my favourite Welsh bloggers and meet some new people.
