It wasn't just any BBQ... It was a Marks and Spencer BBQ

I was lucky enough to be offered a bundle of barbecue food c/o Marks and Spencer, if you've been reading my blog for any length of time you will know that I would never say no to that!

M&S have a real focus on food at the moment and to celebrate this they are running a series of treasure hunts  across the country, the winner gets to enjoy a picnic which is pretty cool. They are holding the Cardiff one this coming Saturday, 29 June, be sure to check their Twitter feed for the clues.

My husband picked the food up from our local M&S store on Friday. I couldn't quite believe it when I came home to this lot, so generous!

We went to a Wedding evening on Saturday so kicked the night off by having a few friends at our house to enjoy the food with us. Unfortunately the weather wasn't the best, but that never stops us! We had planned to put the gazebo up and eat outside but as the wind was quite strong we couldn't do that. Instead Spencer cooked the food outside and bought it in for us.

The food and drinks were all absolutely beautiful. There were even a few comments on how the Posh Dogs were the best sausages people had ever tried. Another big talking point was the Beetroot & Mint dip, people couldn't wait to try this unusual combination and most loved it, all apart from Spencer who doesn't like beetroot!

The meat packs are three for £10 which is a great deal, especially when you see the quality of it. None of the meat shrank when cooked which is always a big bugbear of mine when it comes to barbecues.

The food kept us full all night and the drinks built up a nice appetite for more!

Thank you Marks & Spencer for such a treat.

    1. It was gorgeous, and not too badly priced either with the offer. I'll definitely be heading there for my next BBQ. x

  2. Mmm, it all looks yum! I do love a good barbie! Typical british weather not playing the game though, 2 years back I planned for a bbq party for my 21st but it rained, my brother however, managed to borrow a ridonculously huge gazebo from work so the day wasn't ruined! xx

It rained when I planned a birthday BBQ too, which is why we now own a gazebo! This day was just so windy though that we didn't trust the gazebo either! x
