May & June 2013 Empties

Building up two months worth of empties is quite a shock, I can't believe just how much deodrant I've gone through! As you can see this Mitchum Advance is a regular re-purchase. I'm not a huge fan of the scents so stick to the unscented version.

Lacoste Touch of Pink takes me back to my teenage years, I used to love this stuff and actually found this bottle kicking around half empty. Clearly way out of date but it still smelt nice and stuck around so I used it rather than throw it out, I enjoyed using this again and would re-purchase. I already have another small bottle of this that I won in a giveaway a while back.

As you can see the majority of the writing didn't hang around for very long on this MUA Every Lash Mascara. I loved this mascara in waterproof but hated removing it so decided to pick up the normal one. Unfortunately this was a bit of a disappoint for me as it didn't work anywhere near as well as the waterproof version, as a result I will not be re-purchasing this.

This mini pot of Benefit It's Potent eye cream came in a set that I bought a while back. For such a small pot it lasted a very long time. It seemed to work well and felt nice on the eyes. At £24.50 for the full size pot it is expensive, but given how long this mini pot lasted I think it will last a long time and therefore warrant the price tag. I would definitely consider re-purchasing this in the future but am currently trying out other brands to get a feel of what works for me.

I have quite sensitive, dry skin on my legs which can get very irritated and itchy after shaving and during re-growth, I started using this Gillette Satin Care for sensitive skin a few years ago and have just stuck with it. It foams up nicely and does the job but doesn't stop the irritation. To be fair I think the irritation is caused from my dry skin and therefore wouldn't be affected by my shaving foam. As a result I probably will continue to use this as it does the job for me.

I won this Aussie three minute miracle in a giveaway quite a while ago. I only use it now and again when I feel that my hair needs some TLC which is why it has lasted for so long. This is a real treat and I love how silky my hair feels after use. I will miss this so will definitely have to pick up another bottle.

Both of these come from Primark, the one on the left cost something like £1 and the larger one on the right around £2-£3. The cheaper one smells beautiful in the bottle but that is as far as it goes. The scent doesn't spread around the room at all, it is a complete waste of time and I will not be re-purchasing it. The one on the right is in a whole different league, this not only smells beautiful in the bottle but makes the whole room smell gorgeous. I kept this in my bedroom by the side of my bed and thoroughly enjoyed the waft of vanilla when walking into my bedroom. I'm hoping to go to Primark this weekend to pick up a few more of these.

Do you recommend anything other than Satin Care shaving foam for dry legs that itch after shaving/during re-growth?

  1. I keep looking at the reed diffusers in Primark, thanks for the mini review!x

    1. No problem, definitely get the more expensive ones, they're still cheap but so much better. x

  2. I've got that benefit eye cream too, it's lovely.

Ps - boots have 2 for £4 on Mitchum products at the moment!

    1. Thanks for the heads up :) I usually get them from Wilkinsons and they're quite cheap in there too x

  3. Hey Hun,

I use Silcock's Base to shave my legs! It's really cheap for a huge tub and can be used as shower cream, shave cream or as a moisturiser so you don't even have to rinse it off fully as you can just rub in any left over bits haha I get eczema and find that Silcock's Base is great as it has so few ingredients that it really won't irritate!

    Hope this helps!

    Jennifer xx

    1. Thank you so much for the recommendation, I'm definitely going to have to give it a try :) x
