I was lucky enough to be invited to the launch of The White Company in St Davids, Cardiff on Wednesday evening. I didn't know a lot about The White Company before the event so couldn't wait to go along and find out more about them.
Will, the CEO of The White Company, introduced himself to us and told us a little about the background of the company. Their candles are all handmade in the UK using high quality wax.
Once we walked past the giant black bows into the luxurious store we were greeted with soothing tunes, a choice of champagne or bucks fizz and the most amazing canapes from Jamie's Italian.
The store is beautiful, everything is, as you would expect, mainly white. It looks clean and refreshing without feeling cold. I love the use of white logs as stands, I want to source some logs, paint them white and use them on my fireplace surround to put my candles on.
I think everyone of us fell in love with the Winter range, it really is Christmas in a jar. Winter is described as a spicy warm scent that blends notes of sweet cinnamon and clove with a dash of fresh orange. Spencer hates it, according to him it smells of Aftershock. It doesn't.
Despite not yet having children of my own I absolutely loved the children's section of the store, containing a mixture of classical, girly and boyish items everything is perfect. The soft toys were so nice to touch, I kept going back for another stroke.
The homeware section is another that I am very impressed with, a lot of the items have a rustic feel to them but would fit perfectly into the modern home.
I couldn't resist a sneaky purchase while I was there, I had to take advantage of the 20% discount! I bought the smaller version of the Winter candle, priced at £10 for the small I really couldn't justify getting a bigger one no matter how tempted I was. We also received a goody bag containing the Seychelles candle and a Tea Pigs teabag, I've given my tea bag to Spencer as I only like flavoured tea. Ella described the Seychelles scent as being similar to Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess and she isn't wrong at all, I'm currently using the body oil and there is a real similarity.
As alwyas it was great to see some of my fellow Welsh bloggers including the lovely Georgina, Charli and Ella.
Thank you The White Company and St Davids for an amazing event.
