July & August 2013 Empties

The TOWIE Love Addict perfume* isn't a scent that I would usually choose, its quite musky and more of a mature scent than I tend to opt for. When I first received it I did enjoy using it as a nice change, but towards the end of the bottle I did start to get a little fed up of it. As a result I won't be repurchasing.

Mitchum Advance Deodrant is a regular repurchase

I bought the Freederm moisturiser on a whim a while back when my spots were really playing up, it worked well enough as a moisturiser but didn't stop the spots. I won't be repurchasing this as I'm looking for moisturisers for more mature skin now.

I seem to have had a few samples of White Glo toothpaste from various blogging events/beauty boxes. I find that it works quite well at whitening my teeth and tend to dig out a tube for a special occasion. I took this one away for my friend's hen weekend. It isn't something that I will be repurchasing as I have sensitive teeth so really shouldn't be using this type of toothpaste, that being said it has never triggered off my sensitivity, though I've never used it for a long period of time.

I was given this sample of Lush Ultrabland to try at an event I attended a while back, there will be a full review of this soon. I didn't finish my pot of it as it broke me out. I've heard a lot of rave reviews about this so please don't let me put you off, I think it is just a case of the product not agreeing with my skin type. As a result I won't be repurchasing

I know, I know - face wipes are the devil! I like to keep a packet ready for when I'm having a lazy day (read came home drunk at stupid o'clock in the morning) and can't be-bothered to remove my make-up. I figure that using a face wipe has to be better than sleeping in a full face of make-up. I tend to buy whatever face wipes are on offer at the time that I run out, the last time it happened to be these Nivea gentle facial cleanisng wipes. Due to my laziness/drunkess these will no doubt be repurchased.

This Burt's Bees moisturiser came as a little extra with a Debenhams order. I enjoyed using it and am sure that the horrid dry skin on my legs enjoyed it too. I would probably repurchase but it won't be for a while as I own a ridiculous amount of body moisturisers.

I received the RMK primer in my May 2012 JolieBox. I find primers to be quite difficult to judge. I've tried a lot of primers now from high street to high end and haven't really found any particular one that has really stood out. This is more of the mid-range price coming in at £14. I won't be repurchasing as I have used cheaper primers that work just as well.

I won a Dirty Works set from Cherry a long time ago, the set included this Dirty Works Body Wash. I have so many different shower gels that it takes me ages to use one in full, even a miniature bottle like this one, as I like to use a different one almost every time I shower. This felt nice on the skin and lathered up really well, I would definitely repurchase if the price was right and it was easily available, I can't say I've ever noticed it in any of my local shops but I will be keeping an eye out when I next need to buy some shower gel.

I received a box of these Garnier Ultra Lift samples a while ago and swiftly forgot about them. I decided to use these up instead of replacing my moisturiser when it ran out as I'm skint at the moment. They leave the skin feeling smooth and free of dry patches but tend to leave mine feeling greasy. I won't be repurchasing due to the fact that it doesn't seem to be suitable for oily skin.

The Molton Brown Shower gel came in my March 2012 GlossyBox, the Harrods edition. It didn't smell as nice as I thought it would and didn't lather up particularly well. This little sample bottle is worth around £3 which is more than I would expect to pay for a large bottle of shower gel (I don't like spending a lot on shower gel unless it 'wows' me). I won't be repurchasing.

Euphoria by Calvin Klein is an old perfume of mine that I found during a clear out, I know perfumes have a use by date but it still smelt fine so I used it up. I enjoyed using this scent again and would repurchase.
