Thinspiration : Weight Loss Plaque

I'm sure by now you are all more than I aware that I have decided to join Slimming World online. So far my progress is quite slow as I have had social commitments every weekend which involve either alcohol or food or both. I've still lost 2 & 1/2 pound in three weeks so I really can't complain.

I've decided to start a 'thinspiration' board using my Wedding table plan. I am going to print out a few motivational quotes and place them on the board around the above plaque. I'm going to hang it in the bedroom in the hope that seeing this first thing in the morning and last thing at night will give me a bit of a kick!

I ordered the plaque from eBay on Thursday (19th Sept) and it arrived today (25th September), I thought this was very speedy considering that it is personalised. I'm really pleased with the plaque and do believe that seeing it often will spur me on. The only downside is that it doesn't have chalk attached to it, a little piece of string with chalk attached would make this perfect. There were others available with the chalk attached but this one was the prettiest of the bunch.

I bought the plaque from eBay - link.

What do you use to inspire you to stick to weight loss plans? Would this encourage you?

  2. What a cute little board!

My inspiration to get down the gym usually involves hanging a slightly too tight dress up in my bedroom so it's ALWAYS looking at me - and then I feel guilty if I don't exercise!

    1. Well done you for going down the gym, I would need A LOT of inspiration to get me there haha!
The too tight dress is a great idea, I tried on an old coat earlier that is now too small, I'm hoping to fit into that soon! x

  3. I love this! The visual aids definitely help... I record my weight in my diary every Friday so that I can keep track, but I'd probably work harder if I had something like this! x

    1. I am hoping it will give me a push, I'm now considering buying another to keep in work, the thought of everyone seeing if I've put weight on should encourage me to make sure I don't! x

  4. This is a really good incentive. When i started my healthy eating & exercise i spent an hour [too long] making a chart with numbers, starting from my current weight, going down in 1 kilos, to my goal weight. The chart is massive but being able to see how many numbers i've managed to cross off is the best incentive!
Also on the fridge i've made a mini calendar and am writing what exercise i do and every money i write my current weight. Seems to spur me on because i don't want to see any empty spaces on the paper!!!

You're doing really well :) loving all the meals you post on here, make my mouth water!! x
