A little while ago I received one of the best emails ever. The email confirmed that I had been accepted onto the RHWB Tastemaker programme. This means that I have to go there every now and again for review purposes. Woe is me.
Spencer and I booked in for lunch on Sunday just gone. We turned up about thirty minutes early but this wasn't a problem and we were seated straight away. Spencer hadn't been before so the waitress explained to him that he could just grab a plate and go up as many times as he wanted.
With it being a Sunday and lunch time I quite fancied a good old roast though I wasn't sure if I would get one in RHWB. Thankfully they didn't disappoint. After my delicious Sushi starter I had roast beef in gravy, roast potatoes, yorkshire puddings, buttered vegetables and chipolatas. Yum. For pudding I had the triple chocolate pancakes which were to die for. Seriously. Amazing. I also couldn't resist a cheeky dunk of a marshmallow in the chocolate fountain on the way past.
All of my food was gorgeous, as always I piled ridiculous amounts onto my plates and wasted a lot of it. Spencer tried a wide variety of food, I think he had a bit of everything. He enjoyed everything though he did comment that the four cheese pasta wasn't the nicest that he has tried.
The service was flawless, our plates were taken away pretty much as soon as we finished the course and the staff were very helpful and attentive. They did know that I am a Tastemaker so I'm not sure if this influenced the service at all.
