DIY : How To Make Your Own Natural Fabric Conditioner

DIY homemade simple and easy lavender scented natural fabric conditioner

Zanussi contacted me a while back asking me if I would like to be part of their #EasyTeam, they promised to send me a tip card and the items that I would need for the tip. I had no idea what sort of things I would be receiving, just that it would be cleaning/lifestyle/home related. I love a surprise so of course I said yes.

My first package contained white vinegar, bicarbonate of soda and lavender extract. Little did I know that these ingredients combined make a very lovely fabric conditioner. I always use fabric conditioner as I hate my clothes being full of static. It is great to know that if I run out I can make myself a batch using everyday items.

To make your own fabric conditioner mix one cup water, one cup baking soda, two cups white vinegar and twenty drops of scented oils. Make sure you use a large bowl to mix the ingredients in as it will fizz up, I learnt the hard way. If you have an empty fabric conditioner bottle pour the ingredients into it and use as normal. The soda will settle at the bottom so give it a good shake before each use.

You will be glad to know that you cannot smell the white vinegar on your clothes after using this, my clothes felt soft and smelt fresh.
