December is turning into a very Benefit orientated month here at A Slice of My Life. I've been slowly falling in love with their products over the past year and am really enjoying trying out their variety of products. I've received They're Real in quite a few goody bags at events and was very eager to try it given all the hype surrounding it.
The packaging isn't what I would usually expect from Benefit, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing as this is a very sleek and classy looking mascara.
The mascara itself is amazing. I was literally wowed the first time I used it. Benefit claim that it lengthens, curls, volumizes, lifts and separates lashes. I agree with each and every one of these claims. To achieve all of these results apply horizontally to start and then finish with vertical strokes to lift and separate lashes. The vertical strokes really are key in gaining the 'wow' effect.
Once this mascara is on it doesn't budge, which seems to be a sticking point with a few people. I've found that the best way to remove this mascara is with warm water and a decent face wash, all of the mascara isn't removed the first time so I do tend to wash twice. I personally feel that two washes are well worth it to achieve lashes as good as this.
