Please accept my apologies for this post being a day late. I've been feeling particularly fragile after celebrating my brother-in-law's birthday on Saturday. I'm far too old for those all day drinking sessions now.
The weekend started tamely (ish). We bought a Groupon for a three course meal at the Rat Trap, we went there on Friday along with another two couples. The food wasn't all that great, the starter and pudding were yummy but my main was rather bland. I decided to seek flavour in a bottle of Rose instead.
Thankfully the Rose didn't leave me feeling fragile so off to Cardiff we went. We started with a nice big lunch in TGI's to line the stomach. We watched the Wales -v- Ireland rugby game in O'Neills which was great, once the TV started working again! There were a lot of boos in the pub at this point!
I love the card that I bought from Wilkinson's for my bro-in-law, they have some great cards in at the moment.
I wore my rugby shirt not realising that the pub we were going back to in the evening didn't let you in wearing rugby tops. A drunken Primark trip and a £3 dress later and the problem was solved. We'd had a few jaiger bombs before our shopping trip so accepted the challenge of getting a photo with the 'grumpy' Primark security, luckily they weren't grumpy at all, one willingly posed while the other took the photo! We went back to the pub armed with a few cheap presents for people including lipstick and flat shoes for some of the girls!
The hangover lasted two days. I eat rubbish when hungover. Dominos yesterday followed by curry, cheese and chips for lunch today. Sorry Slimming World.
Talking of Slimming World I've had some decent meals this week and managed to shift 1 & 1/2 pound. I'm not looking forward to weighing this Friday after enjoying myself too much this past weekend.
I've been thoroughly enjoying hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows lately | I am not enjoying having constant wet feet due to my work boots deciding to break at the most inappropriate time | I made Slimming World breakfast muffins which were nice, just like mini omelettes.
I received my giveaway prize from Gemma - thank you!
