Week in Photos #151

I decided to join in with Throw Back Thursday for a change, this is me at the Oscar's themed work's Christmas party back in 2008, with very blonde hair! I actually prefer myself blonde but just can't afford the up-keep.

So, as you can see from the facebook status on the left of this, I was definitely not joining in with the no make-up selfies, that was until my good friend posted her's and nominated me, I know that it must have taken her so much courage to post as she is really insecure and never lets anyone see her without her trusty make-up. After seeing that she had managed to ditch her insecurities I decided that if she could do it anyone can and I really had to stop being so stupid. So, here I am, bad skin and everything. Like it or love it me doing this is personally for two very good causes, firstly, the obvious Cancer Research and secondly, for my lovely friend.

On Thursday we went to see Wicked at the WMC in Cardiff. It was absolutely amazing, such a powerful performance. We traded in some of our Tesco Clubcard vouchers for a delicious meal in Bella Italia before the show.

You know when you just need chocolate but don't have any? That is when you need to use this amazing recipe for microwaveable chocolate brownies in a mug. I added marshmallows and chocolate chips for utter perfection.

A few of us went to The Little Crown Inn for a meal on Friday night. I had the Venison stew special for my main with a Baileys lumpy bumpy for pudding. The food was gorgeous and I will definitely go again. The only downside was that the seats were really uncomfortable, when I'm stuffing myself this much I like to be comfortable!

Outfit details | my Saturday | Saturday continued | Getting excited

I had big plans of taking some outfit photos at Cardiff Bay when we went to see Wicked, annoyingly we came out of the theatre to wind and rain so went straight home without taking said photos. I did manage this snap in the car.

I've been really tired lately and just feeling a bit meh so decided to have a very chilled out weekend which has included books, biscuits and Mean Girls.

I'm getting really rather excited about going to this log cabin for my friend's 30th birthday in January!

How has your week been? Did you take part in the no make-up selfie craze?

  1. I've never gone blonde, but I have considered it strongly!

  2. Great post, and kudos for the no-makeup pic. You look great and the cause is wonderful. Wish women could feel comfortable and beautiful going out and about without makeup... (but I certainly don't.) Cheers!

    1. Thank you! It is quite sad that we rely on our make-up so much, but that is the way we are! x
