Afternoon Tea at The Angel Hotel, Cardiff

Back in February (I know, I'm a little behind!) Spencer and I went along to The Angel Hotel in Cardiff for a spot of afternoon tea. We bought the voucher for champagne afternoon tea for two from Living Social.

We arrived early and nipped into the hotel to see if they were able to accommodate us at the earlier time, unfortunately they weren't so we went away and came back. Despite it being us who had turned up early the staff could not apologise enough for the fact that the tea wasn't yet ready.

We started with sandwiches, cut into triangles without the crusts of course! The fillings were nice but the bread was a little hard. The cakes and scones were delicious.

As well as a pot of tea each we enjoyed a glass of bubbly each.

Whilst this wasn't necessarily the nicest afternoon tea the experience as a whole was fantastic. The staff could not do enough for us, even down to two different staff members offering to take a photo of us. The hotel is lovely and the afternoon tea is served in such a relaxing, quiet room (or at least it was quiet when we went, which was a Saturday). The hotel is based in an ideal location in Cardiff, just opposite Cardiff Castle.

As we arrived early we went for a walk around the area, these photos are some of the sights that we saw nearby.

I wore my Primark dress, Peacocks coat, New Look Brogues and bag from eBay.

P.S. I apologise for the not so great photos, this was one of my DSLR's first proper outings.

    1. Yes it definitely would be, we had a lovely date there (sounds so strange as I never think of Spencer and I going on actual dates, but I guess we do!) x
