Week in Photos #167

This was the most amazing Easter Egg ever.

Pasta with pesto, mozzarella and flatbread || Using avocado instead of butter in a bid to be a little healthier || BBQ ribs with Kale & mash || Fish, potatoes & baked kale.

Steak, baked kale & potatoes || Lazy frozen food dinner, turkey in breadcrumbs & potato wedges || Strawberry & champagne preserve on bagels || Frankie & Benny's lunch with the girls on Saturday.

Eggs Benedict with salted caramel green tea || Banana pancakes with strawberries and choc shot.

Today I perfected the roast dinner. I'm not one to blow my own trumpet but it was amazing. I made everything from scratch including the Yorkshire Puddings and the gravy. The gravy was a huge triumph as I've never managed to make a nice gravy before, it is usually lumpy and horrible but today it was delicious. I'm rather proud of myself and plan to make them more often now that I know how.

My order from Nyla Rose turned up, I'll show you these beauties in more detail shortly.

I hate when the time comes to replace my Collection 2000 concealer as the writing fades so I never know which shade I need || My prize from the lovely Lucy arrived, you can see the contents in this post || A rather hyper Bob decided that he wanted me to be his playmate when I wanted to go to bed, plans of an early night out of the window || I spent some of my Primark Birthday vouchers on Saturday, haul post coming soon!

We did a car boot sale yesterday, we made about £45 and got rid of loads of the big items, including that trampoline! Successful day.

When we got back home from the car boot sale Spencer helped to chop down the neighbour's tree. It has made a huge difference to our garden, it looks so much lighter.

I hate throwing out my Birthday cards, but my Birthday was two weeks ago so it really is about time I did || I bought a gorgeous bouquet of flowers from Aldi for a bargain £2 || We had a drink the garden yesterday to chill out after our car boot sale || Today I made a start on painting our brick arch with Annie Sloan chalk paint, so far so good...

I've been loving the Timehop app, it is a great way to reminisce. This one had people firstly not recognising me (I'm the redhead in coral) and secondly telling me that I should go back red.

Did you have a good Bank Holiday weekend? Do you think I should go back to being a red head?
