I love a good Crepe so have been planning on visiting Crepeaffaire in Cardiff for quite a while now but just haven't gotten around to it. Located next door to the Cosy Club, part of St David's, it is smack bang in the middle of the town which makes it the ideal pit stop when out shopping.
We paid £18 for two crepes and two hot drinks with cream, I personally think that this is quite pricey but the crepes are very filling (we skipped lunch after having these mid morning) and it is a very nice treat. There is a loyalty card available which offers various freebies after set amounts of purchases, and also a free crepe on your birthday.
There is a lot of choice of the menu, both sweet and savoury. We both opted for sweet but were very tempted by the savoury options and will be trying these next time.
The decor is fresh and modern and there is a variety of seating options, we opted for the comfy sofas.
I opted for the bananalicious with Nutella (it comes with a choice of Nutella or Belgian chocolate) and added strawberries as an extra topping.
Spencer went for the I'll Have What She's Having, which is strawberries Nutella and cream, again he had the choice of Belgian chocolate or Nutella.
We both ordered a hazelnut mocha with cream on top to drink alongside our already sweet enough treat!
We both thoroughly enjoyed our crepes and drinks. The crepes were cooked to perfection with just the right amount of filling, the strawberries and bananas were finely sliced which made them a little less messy to eat. We were served promptly and weren't waiting for very long for our food. All in all we both highly rate Cardiff Crepeaffaire and will definitely be visiting again.
