I've recently attended two fabulous events, both arranged by fellow bloggers. The first event, #PartyAtTheAngel, organised by Ffion and Charlotte, was held at The Angel Hotel, Cardiff back in September. The second event, #SWBXmas, organised by Kerry, was held at Chapter, Cardiff a few weeks ago.
Party At The Angel was a glamorous affair with prosecco and canapés served by waiters on arrival, the glamour did come with a price tag of just over £10 per person which I did feel was a little steep for what was received in terms of food, despite the canapés being very tasty they didn't fill a hole. Despite knowing that the price was a little steep for the food I was more than happy to pay it because I knew that it would be worth it for what the girls had in store for us which was a fun day with amazing goody bags and blogger friends.
The event was very well organised, there were various companies set up around the room, we were welcome to chat to them and find out more about them. There were also delicious cupcakes from Renate and if we wanted we could go and have our hair styled.
It was a very relaxed and laid back event but there were various competitions announced throughout the day. One of which was the best tweet which I won - yay! I won this lovely set from Bee Good and a Scent City voucher along with some perfume samples.
We also got to take a home these amazing goody bags including items from Cardiff based interior design store Pad Deco, Bee Good, Prairie Charms and Beauty Crowd. As well as the goody bag items we received discount vouchers for Renate, Shopafrolics and the Blogger Beauty Box.
The girls had set up some photo props at the event and we were given our photos on a little reel to take home. Such a lovely memory of the day.
Chapter played host to the South Wales Bloggers Christmas showcase, again we had a small fee to pay to attend, around £8 if I remember rightly. In exchange for this fee Chapter provided hot and cold drinks and a huge buffet. The chocolate brownies were heaven and I felt that the price paid was reflected in the buffet and the effort put in by Chapter, they even printed little signs with the hashtag for the event pointing us to the room.
The goody bags included this box of sweets from Scoff Club, a monthly gift box of irresistible sweets. I pinched a few and then quickly gave the box to Spencer, this is way too much temptation for a Slimming Worlder!
A very posh pair of socks from the London Sock Co who also offer a monthly subscription.
Elemis Spa treats and a voucher for afternoon tea for two from The Celtic Manor Resort.
Spiced Apple wax melts from Valley Mill, a candle from Gauci Organic Candles, jam from Welsh Lady Preserves and Crabtree & Evelyn Nail polish and a small sample of what I believe to be body butter from SoapNSkin.
A Benefit Porefessional sample kit, a perfume sample from St. Kitts Herbery and a pass for complimentary ice skating for one at Planet Ice.
A Toucan Box which is a fortnightly or monthly craft box subscription for the little ones and a Neal's Yard gift set.
Last but by no means last I received a Pink Parcel which is a monthly subscription service sending ladies essential items and more for that time of the month and a relax & unwind kit from Indigo Herbs.
InstaFrame also provided us with a photo prop for the day which we had a lot of fun with. I'm already looking for an excuse to buy one for myself, I'm wondering whether to get one for Aria's first birthday party or if it is a little pointless because the party is for children not adults!
A massive well done and thank you to Ffion, Charlotte and Kerry for organising both of these amazing events and to all of the brands who got involved. I will be posting about some of the items in more detail soon so keep your eyes peeled for that, if there is anything that you would like to see first let me know.
