Keeping a blanket on a baby can be near enough impossible, with all the kicking and wriggling that they do blankets almost always fall off. As a result sleeping bags for babies are very popular, there are a lot of different brands selling baby sleeping bags and the choice can be a little overwhelming, so today I am going to be talking to you about the sleep bag from the Gro Company and explaining why this is the best baby sleep bag that we have tried.
This Grobag comes in sizes 0-6 months, 6 - 18 months and 18 - 36 months in a thickness of either 1 or 2.5 tog. The price varies for each size, we ordered 0-6 months so have the cheapest option.
I'll start with my favourite thing about this bag, it fits a five point travel harness. The two way zip and the velcro patch at the back mean that you can move baby from bed to car or pushchair without taking them out of the sleeping bag and exposing them to the cold. This would be perfect for early/late starts, long car journeys or just a walk in the pushchair on a cold day.
The two way zip means that the zip can finish either at the top or the bottom, there is a tab that covers the zips at the bottom which is great because Aria likes to fiddle with the zips if she can see them.
There are poppers under the arms which gives the baby a bit of room to grow, at the moment our poppers are done up, when Aria starts getting bigger we will leave them undone.
The bags come in a variety of thicknesses and sizes, if you aren't sure which thickness or size you need there is a handy guide on the Gro Company website detailing which tog bag you should use based in the room temperature and also what the baby should be wearing underneath.
There is also a wide choice of designs, for both boys and girls. I have my eyes on the Bunny and Brolly design for when Aria grows out of this one, though I think that will be a while as despite her being 7 months old now a lot of her 3-6 month clothing is still too big for her!
