Review : Pink Parcel - The Period Subscription Box

Monthly subscription boxes are everywhere at the moment and a lot of them are very similar, offering nothing to tempt me. Now and again a box will pop up with quite a unique twist on the original subscription boxes, and when they do I like to try them out! Pink Parcel is one of these boxes with a difference, this subscription box contains the essential items and a few little treats to get us women through that time of the month.

For me personally a big thing about these monthly subscription boxes is the packaging, no one wants a box of treats to arrive in a shoddy box with contents all over the place - do they? Pink Parcel doesn't disappoint in this area, the box is sleek and discreet and the contents are packaged in individually labelled boxes, which means that you can dive straight into the treats and leave the essentials until you need them.

Each box will come with your sanitary products of choice, tea, something sweet and some beauty products so that you can pamper yourself. Pink Parcel will send the box to you 3-5 days before the estimated period start date each month.

I was given a random box at a recent blogger event which meant that I didn't get the choice of sanitary products that you do when ordering. My box contained tampons which I won't use, I will instead donate these to the local Women's Aid. When ordering your own box you select towels or tampons, your brand, they stock a variety of well known brands such as Tampax and Always and also some more exclusive brands such as U by Kotex and organic brand Organyc, and the level of absorbency required.

The tampon box came with a handy little storage bag containing four tampons to take out and about, as well as two further boxes each containing ten tampons.

I've never used a cleanser specific for intimate areas below so am quite intrigued by the SASS Intimate Purifying Cleanser, this is a great addition to the box.

I received a fantastic variety of products in my box. There was a lip balm, some raw chocolate which I cannot wait to try, nail varnish, mascara, eye shaodw, Pukka detox tea with lemon, a set of Bandzee hair ties, perfume sample, a week trial of skin, hair & nails and a pretty little arrow pendant from This Material Culture.

If I a) wasn't on the mini pill which means completely unpredictable periods and b) had the spare cash the Pink Parcel is a service that I would enjoy subscribing to.

Do you subscribe to any boxes? If so, which ones?

  1. I think the packaging looks great. The box is very reasonably priced for the products you receive in it. If i got periods every month I would get a subscription. It will make a great gift for a girlfriend x

  2. These boxes are a great idea because you get lots of little things to treat yourself with. I like that it's discreet and there are separate boxes so you can keep the essentials for when you need them x
